Bereavement
The IHM Bereavement Group is a Ministry that was formed in order to serve as a compassionate gathering of those who are experiencing deep grief from a loss through the death of a loved one, a divorce, the loss of employment, a pet, etc.

The Bereavement Group offers two six (6) week sessions per year unless a third is urgently requested.  The Group meets in the IHM Commons on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to Noon for six (6) consecutive weeks.  The dates for the session are announced in the bulletin and from the pulpit for two (2) weeks prior to commencement.

We are a non-denominational group;  all broken hearts are welcome!  Bring your tears with you and open yourself to a God inspired healing;  all sessions are held in strictest confidence.  Although there is a Facilitator present for each meeting, it is very apparent that the participants do, indeed, have the strength within themselves to help each other through the grieving process;  the Facilitator serves as a "mentor", keeping the conversations and sharing on track, supplies the appropriate literature that will be helpful, etc.

If you or someone you know may be searching for a healthy healing in a prayerful surrounding, please know that there is such a place for you to come.

Please feel free to contact our Bereavement Ministry Facilitator, Shirley Moran, at 706-896-1358 with your questions and any concerns you may have regarding such a group.  You may also inquire when the next six (6) week session will be taking place and plan in advance to attend.

God's Blessings and Compassionate Love to all of you from the IHM Bereavement Ministry.
