The presence of the Holy Spirit
“Speaks of another life in us like an underground river current,
always present, never quite seen, exerting an influence on us …”
It is no longer enough to be a
“Good Catholic”. We must reach outside ourselves, give prime
focus to our vocation of holiness, accept that it is our
responsibility to profess our faith, and work in service of
human dignity.
This Saturday, the 31st at
noon the Church will be hosting David Tilly, the regional
advocate for the Diocese of Charlotte Tribunal, who will speak
on Marriage and the annulment process. The Church is reaching
out to Catholics who are separated from the practice of their
faith because of divorce and remarriage, and the process has
become much more "user friendly". A light lunch will be offered
before the talk. Please join us.
On November 20/21 the
Stewardship Formation Committee and the Evangelization Committee
will be hosting a Women's Retreat at the Hinton Center with Barb
McGrattan officiating. There are still some spots available if
you are interested! For Information call Pam Craig at 389-6708.
The Story of the Nativity
will be shown during Advent, an in depth documentary showing a
fascinating account of the real Christmas story, with scholars
and authors discussing the incredible facts about Jesus of
Nazareth's birth. Times and details later!
All this and much, much more,
comes from your Evangelization Commission to you with the
following thought: The opportunity for you to live a life
richer and more rewarding than you thought possible is there for
you if you will recall this central truth – that you and Christ
are an overwhelming majority!
